MUSEUM OF THE RESISTANCE
Museum housing objects bearing witness to the rise of fascism. Walking tour of Resistance sites.
Created on the initiative of the Amicale des Anciens Combattants de la Résistance, this museum bears witness to the intense Resistance activity in this zone, known as Zone 13, which encompasses the cantons of Montaigut, Menat, Pionsat and Saint-Gervais-d'Auvergne. Access to the museum is free of charge, and there are numerous objects and period items bearing witness to the rise of fascism, the "phoney war", the organization of the Resistance during the Occupation, and deportation. In July and August, guided tours immerse you in these historic memories.
