PARCO E MUSEO GENNA MARIA
Museum presenting pieces discovered on the Nuraghic site of Genna Maria
At over 400 metres above sea level, built on a strategic promontory offering superb views, the Genna Maria site dominates the entire Marmilla. The nuraghe features a three-lobed bastion with a central keep dating from the 15th century BC, as well as three lateral towers. It was surrounded by a village of huts, some of which were built on the surrounding walls, the remains of which can still be seen today. This complex remains one of the most important in Sardinia for its particular planimetry. The small museum and virtual tour are truly fascinating.
