CHIESA DI SANT'EFISIO
Church of Spanish style in the heart of the district of Stampace in Cagliari.
This small Spanish-style church, with a baroque façade of ochre and white, is built in the heart of the Stampace district, on the very spot where the saint would have been imprisoned before being martyred in Nora. It is from here that the May1st procession to Nora starts, the most important in Cagliari and probably in Sardinia. The statue of the saint, walked through the streets, is kept in this church. The interior is richly decorated with polychrome marble altars, numerous paintings and statues dating back to the eighteenth century.
