Remarkable Chinese pottery and firearms collection in a Siamese art museum in Cagliari.
The museum of Siamese art (from Thailand whose former name was the Kingdom of Siam) celebrated its centenary in 2020. It is an important collection of objects donated to the city by Stefano Cardu, a Sardinian sailor who lived in Siam in the 19th century. The Ming and Qing Chinese pottery is remarkable, as well as the collection of firearms from the 11th to the 19th century. This museum also hosts very nice temporary exhibitions and an Asian film festival.
