ROCCE ROSSE
High seams of red porphyry reefs very popular with divers
High veins of red porphyry reefs stretch vertically out to sea at the level of Cape Bellavista. The Rocce Rosse are very popular with diving enthusiasts and are one of the symbols of Sardinia. They are covered by the sea up to the coast of Santa Maria Navarese, further north. According to the posters in the tourist offices, the life-size Rocce Rosse are somewhat disappointing. Relatively small, bordered by an ugly wasteland on the edge of the harbour, the site doesn't have much grandeur.
