Church with a marble pulpit from an error in the delivery of a ship according to the legend

This church is one of the most beautiful in the Ogliastra for the harmony of its proportions and its interior decoration. Its 18th century baroque bell tower stands out against the blue sky. The church was built thanks to the contribution of the population of Barisardo throughout the 17th century. A legend says that the marble of the pulpit comes from a mistake in delivery. A ship would have unloaded here tons of fine marble destined for Bari... ...in Apulia.
