GROTTA DI SU MARMURI
Cave offering a guided tour to observe a large colony of bats
It is the largest in Europe. Its name means "marble", because of the particular aspect of the limestone. The entrance is located at 880 m of altitude. It is necessary to progress on an arduous path, then to climb 200 steps to reach it. Deep of 850 m, with walls 70 m high in some places, it is really impressive. The different rooms were formed 150 million years ago by an underground river that has disappeared. The most impressive halls are the Great Hall and the Cactus Hall with two 28 m high stalagmites.

the ideal is to go up for Lunch, has an excellent restaurant which allows you to have lunch waiting for the visit 14:00. Bring good shoes because it takes 1:30 visit and clothes heat because the cave has 10° but that is really worth a visit and the Guide makes the effort of French. For Motorcyclists the road is a remarkable quality, the beautiful landscape and the bends to finish... but Happiness moreover it.
