ÉGLISE SAINT-GERVAIS-SAINT-PROTAIS
Castral church of Saint-Gervazy, a Romanesque gem with a restored Black Madonna.
A former castle church nestled in the heart of the village, this 15th century church is built on a Romanesque base. Its richly painted walls hide a treasure: a black Virgin in majesty from the 12th century, typical of the region and classified as a historical monument. Its history is not trivial: stolen in 1983, it was found by chance in 2000... in Madrid! Finally returned to the church of Saint-Gervazy in 2005, it has been protected by a glass case ever since.
