MUSEO CIUSA
Museum exhibiting a permanent collection of about sixty works and casts
This museum is dedicated to the sculptor Francesco Ciusa, the initiator of modern sculpture in Sardinia and whose influence has been important in Italy. The permanent collection includes about 60 works and casts exhibited in the old court of Nuoro renovated in 2016. The exhibition summarizes an intense career that spanned from the early 20th century until the 1940s. The I Cainiti cycle pays tribute to the archaic Sardinia of the Nuoro hinterland. On the ground floor, a large space is dedicated to temporary exhibitions.
