MUSEO CIVICO SALVATORE FANCELLO
Museum in the center of the village preserving its most remarkable work
In the centre of the village, this museum is dedicated to the ceramist Salvatore Fancello, who died during the Second World War. The child of Dorgali expressed his talent in modelling and drawing. His most remarkable work is preserved here. It is a 7-metre long terracotta scroll decorated with scenes of rural life and fantastic animals. He made it in 1938 and gave it to his famous friend and artist Costantino Nivola on the occasion of his wedding.
