AÉROPORT INTERNATIONAL DE PÉKIN
Beijing Airport has 3 terminals. You must not forget to be told that your departure or arrival terminal will be specified!
Terminal 1 is used for domestic flights (excluding flights provided by Air China).
Terminal 2 is used for international flights of some airlines (for example Air France) and for many flights to Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Terminal 3 is the terminal for the majority of routes and the terminal for all Air China flights. This is the latest terminal, built for the Olympics.
From/to the airport:
For all questions, you can refer to the site very well done by the airport, including the passenger's notebook.
Taxi: The taxi is perhaps the easiest and fastest way to reach the city center or go to the airport. It takes 100 RMB for the race and an average of 40/50 minutes.
The taxi queue is located right outside the international and national exit gate for Terminal 2 and at the end of the parking lot for Terminal 3. It is better to avoid taxis that are in the arrival hall: The majority will refuse to use the meter, and the race is likely to be much more expensive than it should (count 300 RMB).
Subway: An Airport Express fast train line connects terminals 2 and 3 to Dongzhimen metro station via Sanyuanqiao station and is the most efficient way to reach the city center. The journey lasts less than 30 min and the ticket costs 25 RMB. The line runs daily from 06:00 to 22:30 from the Dongzhimen station.
Bus: a more economical option is to take buses that serve the city center from the airport. Nine lines are proposed, the routes are indicated at the counter which is located on the departure of buses, before national arrivals. Transport costs 16 RMB, but buses usually leave only once full, which makes waiting times very random. The most interesting lines for travelers are line 2 (to Xidan), line 3 (to the Central Station) and line 6 (to the main Wangfujing pedestrian street).
Council: The metro will be advised if you arrive at the T 3 or T 2 and the taxi if you arrive at the T 1.
