This hotel, very popular with travel agencies, enjoys a pleasant location, just a few steps from Liulichang (the antique district), Dazhalan and Qianmen, and of course from Tiananmen Square or the Temple du Ciel. It will be used to be as close to the so-called traditional life in China, especially because the hotel offers every night (at 7:30 p. m. without prior reservation) one of the best opera shows in Beijing: the Liyuan Theater. Built in 1956 and many times renovated, the hotel still has a certain cachet.
