TANZHE TEMPLE
It is the largest and oldest temple in the Beijing area.
History
First built under the Jin in the third century, the temple continued to grow under the Liao, Tang, Ming and Qing. Renamed during the various periods, it was first known as the Temple of Good Fortune (Jiafusi), then under the Temple of the Dragon Source (Longquan) and finally Temple Temple (that of the Dragon) and the Arrivals (very present trees in the temple courses). Do not miss to visit the forest of Stupas at the foot of the temple, that is where the monks of the monastery are buried. The site is very beautiful, even if there are no longer many mulberries left. A path lined with small souvenir and fruit sellers goes up to the temple. You will arrive on a large terrace planted with warriors (these trees, zhe, gave their name to the temple and feed silk worms). On the terrace above, there is a gigantic scent in front of which many Chinese finish burning their incense sticks. Right behind is the temple, still in full activity. You will also cross the monks in their saffron dress and many people praying before the five performances of Buddha.
