SONG QINGLING RESIDENCE
Located on the north shore of Lake Houhai, this ancient princely palace of Qing (having belonged to Emperor Puyi's father) became the place of residence of Song Qingling, Sun Yat-sen widow, who settled there when she left Shanghai in 1963 and she lived. t until his death in 1981. It should be remembered that Song Qingling had an active and lively political life that was being held as Vice-President of the People's Republic of China with Mao. The residence is conveniently located in a large park planted with classic style pavilions, and is found by visiting the family life of Sun Yat-sen. Many photos and various objects testify in a vivid way to the troubled political life of the time. The personal memories of Song Qingling are kept in the house of friends of the residence. The park is also interesting to visit than the residence itself.
