47.9 m tall and built in gray bricks, the tower of the Cloche was built under the Ming dynasty, Emperor Yongle (1402-1424). Destroyed by a fire, she was restored by Qianlong (1735-1796). It housed a steel bell that was ringing every morning at 7:00 a. m. and later replaced by a bronze bell. From this tower, the heart of Beijing offers an impressive panorama, which allows you to see the scam between the old town and the modern neighborhoods, all in height beyond the second device (north).
