LIULICHANG
It starts in Nanxinhua Jie and follows the east-west axis. Completely rebuilt about twenty years ago, it offers the advantage of a pedestrian street bordered on both sides of small boutiques with old look. There are many antiques (from the authentic, but also from the toc), jewelry, jade objects (rather jade-jaded, because jade mines are depleted in China), tiny shoes worn by "golden lotus," these women whose blinded feet should not exceed 13 cm. The vases you will be told about Song or Ming (here too, know that most often they are copies, but also that you can only bring back the antiques from the last dynasty in Europe! To attest to their authenticity, objects are marked with a red wax seal by the Relics Bureau). You will be seduced by these beautiful old lithographs, or some dusty books, with traditional painting materials, with these beautiful brushes that can serve as decoration, ink stones, rice paper, hard stone seals on which you can even burn your name in Chinese…
Of course all of this has to be traded, but you will be surprised to see that almost all sellers speak English a bit, so much so they are used to tourists!
