PO PAGODE
Located in the south-east of the city, it is the oldest building in Kaifeng: built in 974 under the Northern Song, this octagonal tower originally consisted of nine levels. By superstition, the Ming made her shaving: it was higher than the Iron Tower, creating a bad cosmic breath. Under the Qing, the tower regained three levels. This structure, each of whose bricks is carved into the effigie effigie, is 31,67 m high. Po Ta has more than 7 000 bricks with a total of 108 images of Buddha. The pagoda contains 178 pieces of Buddhist Writing of the highest value. The site of the Po Pagoda is a little eccentric, but the calm and authenticity of the site is worth a lot.
