GUILD HOUSE OF SHANSHANGAN

Located in the city center on Xufu Jie, built in 1776 by entrepreneurs from the three provinces of Shanxi, Shaanxi and Gansu, this guild represented their interests in the city. The only building of time is the hall in honor of Prince Guan (Guandi Miao). With its impressive sculptors carved and decorated with popular scenes, this colorful place attests to the importance of interprovincial trade in the era of the Qing. The other structures have been rebuilt in recent years: theater, tower of the drum (beaten at night) and of the Bell (rang in the morning). A great model of Kaifeng in the time of the Song is found in the guild (made from a gravure in the Forbidden City): interesting to locate important buildings in the city.
