RAIL TOWER
Located in the Tie Ta Park (大海س س), in the north-east of the city, this octagonal tower adorned with bricks of gray gray brick (hence its name) dates from the North Song (1049).
History. At that time, pagoda was called Kaibao's Tower, from the name of which it was part of. The first pagoda of this temple dates back to the tenth century (989) and was wooden. In 1044, a flood took the building. Today's visible structure of 56 m on 13 levels is erected five years later in 1049. This fine, glazed brick tower contains numerous performances of Buddha and the other divinities accompanied by their servants and musicians. On the 13 th floor, we have a beautiful view on the river Yellow on sunny days.
