YANG MA DAO ISLAND
From Zhifu Bay, towards the island of Yang Ma Dao (southwest), you go through sumptuous pink, red, yellow, white and white tulip gardens. Then the bay of Muping has a dense vegetation and connects with a long bridge the famous Yang Ma Dao (today peninsula). Famous because the first emperor Qin Shi Terracotta (259-210 BC), China's first unifying unificateur, raised and reproduced his best fighter horses.
The island is home to the San Guan temple, dating from four centuries, consisting of several ensembles dedicated to various deities, a wonderful Chinese syncretism.
The first, Buddhist, evolves in the shadow of the majestic statue of Mazu, a protective goddess of the sea, navigators and merchants (very honoured in Taiwan, Fujian, Guangdong and Yantai). Four young monks cultivate a vegetable garden and flowers. You have access to a library, sensing the old knowledge.
At 1 km, the second set is a charming temple, in which several gods have their own personal niches, with their incense, their ferocious dragons and their devoted worshippers. Supervised by a welcoming moinesse, a prayer room with enchanting music is open to everyone.
