A three storey museum, opened in the late 1980 s. A large statue in the courtyard evokes the time of the caravans of the silk road. The museum itself houses many bronze, ceramic, stone, wood, many silk fabrics, from excavations in the vicinity of Dunhuang. A whole room is devoted to the region of the Han Dynasty (on the ground floor). Two other reports illustrate the historical evolution of the city (on the 1 st and 2nd floor). All indications are in Chinese… Take your path if the old stones don't charm you more than that!

Museum which features rooms found to the area, some very old, but note that all the signs are in Chinese, even datings... to see when you can have an interpreter!
