MOSQUE OF THE SMALL PEACH GARDEN (XIAOTAOYUAN MOSQUE)

This mosque was built in 1917 thanks to donations from the Muslim community in Shanghai. The current building dates back to 1925 and today houses the Muslim Association in Shanghai. The women's mosque is five metres before that of men, in the same street, but the building does not deserve the visit. Considered to be the largest mosque in Shanghai, the men's mosque is not of special interest, unless it goes on Friday, when the city's practitioners meet in an atmosphere that is both pious and convivial.
