MEMORIAL TO THE MARTYRS OF THE NANKIN MASSACRE DURING THE WAR AGAINST THE JAPANESE
This museum retrace the tragedy of the Nanjing massacre, which reportedly claimed approximately 200 000 victims during the months of December 1937 and January 1938. The building resembles a bunker, a planted cypress garden leads to the exhibition rooms presenting a series of extremely complete documents to better understand the circumstances of the drama. Recently, the memorial was completely renovated for its reopening on 13 December 2007 on the occasion of the 70 th anniversary of the massacre.
