Located east of the octagonal field, south-east of the lake. The imperial porcelain ovens of the Southern Song Dynasty were updated in 1985 near the site of the old Song Palace. Many objects and fragments of porcelain were discovered during archaeological excavations. At the time, Hangzhou's imperial porcelain production was the most technically advanced in China.
