TIANTONG MONASTERY
Built in 300 ap. This set of halls, halls and pavilions is the second of the five monasteries of the Buddhist sect Chan (Zen) in China. The ensemble of 58,000 m ² and has more than 700 pieces dissimilated in several buildings, houses calligraphed stakes by the emperors Shunzhi, Kangxi and Yongzhen of the Qing. The stone relief of the eighteen arhats is the work of Zhu Chan, the famous painter Qing. This temple is the birthplace of Japanese Buddhism Soto (Caodong in Chinese). A place surrounded by hills as located at the foot of the mountain Taibai.
