FORMER CONCESSION AREA
Located in the old Hankeou and redesigned following the 1998 floods, this area is one of the Wuhanais favorites today. To see: the former German consulate - now the town hall of Wuhan - and a little further, the former bank of Indochina, transformed into Café Victoria.
Along the river always, at No. 162, the residence of Song Qingling, wife of Sun Yat-sen (and incidentally-sister-in-law of Tchang Kai-chek), is an interesting visit for those interested in the twentieth century history in China.
Also, a former Catholic church built in the late nineteenth century, and rearranged in a nightclub.
If you go on on foot to Shengli Street (大╩), then to Dongting Street (大♀), you will see the former consulate of France (opened in 1863), which had the rich residence of a Russian merchant on No. 88, preceded by n ° 82 of a police station with a few meters later, at n ° 90, the imposing consulate of Russia at the time.
Other buildings are hiding here and there, so don't hesitate to wander.
