HONGYAN CUN
The Chinese Communist Party headquarters, located in Chongqing after the alliance between the Communist Party (Gongchangdang) and the Nationalist Party (Guomindang) in the era of the anti-Japanese war. Zhou Enlai, his wife Deng Yingchao, Ye Jianying, Wang Ruofei and other great leaders of the day lived there until liberation in 1949. During talks between the Communist Party and the Chinese Nationalist Party of 1945, Mao Zedong also stayed in the village of Red Rock. The first place in revolutionary history, it was the first site classified in the Register of Historical Monuments by the central government in 1961.
Do not miss to visit the Revolutionary History Museum, established in 1955. He has an interesting fund of photographic documents that illuminate this complex period.
