PLACE OF RESIDENCE OF THE POET DUFU
Dufu (712-770), the eminent poet Tang, spent four years of his life of wandering in Chengdu, where he wrote more than 200 poems. A first building was erected in his memory in the th century on the very ruins of his house; multiple reconstructions thereafter, the current building being actually based on the work of the Qing period (1644-1911). The whole is designed according to the plan of a temple.
Planned initiation in the various building bodies (museum retraçant the life of the man of letters, models of successive architectures, commemorative stelas exhibition by the great Chinese men of this century) leading to the central hall hosting the statue and effigies of Dufu.
