Located in the city center, not far from the Jingyuan Xiang River, this temple was established under the Liang, in 548, two centuries earlier than the famous Temple of the Spring Dazzling Spring. This is Fuzhou's oldest place of worship. It houses a spectacular statue of Buddha (5.30 m height for 50 t) cast under the Song, in 1083. The stone basin preserved in the temple is also famous for its old inscriptions.
