YUSHAN HILL
Located in the heart of the city, this hill is 58 m high. Its site now includes a park with many interesting relics: the pavilion of the Turtle that kisses, the temple of Longue Vie (also known as the White pagoda temple, the end of the Tang), the Nine Immortal Pavilion (built under the Song), the tomb of General Qi Jiguang (a famous soldier who was fighting the Japanese invasion under the Ming), the peak of the Cigale, the well of the Pill d'Pilule Immortality, as well as the 113 sculptural rocks from the time of Song to today. Behind the Temple of Longue Vie is the White Pagoda (Baita): a octagonal structure 41 m high, erected at the end of the Tang, in 904, and covered with a white mortar beam, hence its name.
