This fort was conceived in the nineteenth century in the village of Huli, south of Xiamen Island; it was recently opened to the public. On the aggregate of sand and glaise welded with glutinous rice and lime, a hundred cannons were found. Today, only one of these guns is still in place: a German manufacturing Krupp with a length of 14 m and weighing more than 60 t, bought for 60,000 silver taws of the time.
