GORGES OF THE MALING HE
Site on the Yunnan and Guizhou plateaus, home to a number of karst topologies
Much less frequented by tourist groups (compared to Huangguoshu Falls), the Maling He Gorge often evokes more wonder! The site covers 450 km ². Seen in 2006 as «national natural heritage» by the Chinese government, Maling gorges are preserved. The landscape is for specialists a gigantic geological museum. Located on the trays of Yunnan and Guizhou, the location houses many karst topologies: gorges, caves, edges and pitons. The river crossing the mountains forms many rapids. There are just over 100 falls! You are advised, however, the falls of the Pearl. This group of falls is more than 100 m; when they fall into the river, the visitor has the strange feeling of seeing pearls fly into the sky. The period between June and October is the best season to go there.
For exploration along the water, you can venture into rafting. Don't worry, the ride is quiet and undangerous.
