Atmospheric temple built in 1862, housing an imposing statue of its tutelary god, the almighty God of the North, Pak Tai
100 meters behind the Blue House, built in 1862 by local residents, this atmospheric temple contains an imposing statue of its tutelary god, the almighty God of the North, Pak Tai. In keeping with Chinese polytheistic tradition, other deities are also worshipped here, and prayers follow one another all day long. The Shiwan porcelain frescoes on the roof depict Cantonese opera scenes.
