ST JOHN'S CATHEDRAL
This cream and white building dated 1849 is the oldest Anglican church in the Far East. In the heart of the bustling city, its park is a tropical oasis. Sunday masses can be seen in English in the company of many Philippines. The place is soft and it often plays the organ, even outside the masses. The building adjacent to the former French Mission, a brick brick building, green shutters and wrought iron balconies was built 150 years ago. French missionaries bought her in 1917. A little higher, on Lower Albert Road, Government House was the residence of British Governors of Hong Kong since 1855 until 1997.
