TAI CHEONG BAKERY
Egg tarts and sugar doughnuts have made this traditional Chinese bakery a veritable institution.
It's a real institution! This traditional Chinese bakery has been in existence since 1954, and has earned its reputation thanks to its delicious egg tarts. They're baked on the premises, all day long, perfuming the store with a sweet, gourmet aroma. This Hong Kong specialty is reminiscent of Portugal's pasteis de nata, but the difference is that the crust is light and sandy, and the egg cream is unctuous. Not too sweet, the egg tart can be eaten without hunger. We also recommend trying a sugar puff, a Chinese doughnut coated in sugar: a real treat!
