Saint-Maigner's energy self-sufficiency facility shows you what's worth knowing on your travels.
For your escapades, we would like to point out to you what, on the way, is worth knowing. This is the case of this GAEC, created by Alexis Vallet, Bertrand Duprat and his brother Fabien. What makes it special? Not only its mixed farming and the breeding of its several hundred Blonde d'Aquitaine cattle, but rather its philosophy: the GAEC aims for energy autonomy. Its means? 8,000 m² of photovoltaic panels, the production of biogas, the cows' manure being recovered by methanisation, which preserves the water table. The carbon balance is positive.
