Dating back to 1873 and well known to the locals, the San Va is ideally located in Rua da Felicidade. You will need to climb a steep staircase before reaching the reception. Comfort, like the reception, remains very summary, but the decor and atmosphere are worth the trip (Wong Kar-Wai would have shot some scenes for her film 2046). A single room has a private shower and air conditioning. Beware, this is an address for backpackers, real!
