POUSADA DE SÃO TIAGO
This «Relais et Châteaux» establishment occupies the inside of the fortress da Barra, built in the th century by the Portuguese to defend the inner harbour against attacks by pirates and enemy Western fleets. One hundred years later, a chapel was built inside its walls, dedicated to São Tiago, the patron saint of the Portuguese army. Since then, this charming hotel has been able to recreate a peaceful atmosphere inspired by the Portuguese pousadas. The comfortable rooms are tastefully decorated and recreate a small corner of Europe in the heart of Asia. The restaurant and terrace overlooking the swimming pool are very pleasant. Far from the hotels casinos bling-bling, Pousada de São Tiago takes the palm of romantic and charming hotels in Macau. Our undeniable coup!
