This monumental hotel sits on the waterfront at the foot of the old town. Without transition, we pass from the narrow fish-drying alleyways to the giant building. An escalator then takes us to the glitzy lobby. The spacious, comfortable rooms are good value for money, with one side opening onto the Chinese city of Zhuhai, and the other onto Macau's typical old quarters. The hotel is an excellent starting point for exploring the old town.
