LINEN FONG TEMPLE
Museum housing a collection of pipes and smokehouse equipment, photos of opium stockpile destruction..
The Lin Fong Temple, also known as the Lotus Temple, is one of the finest examples of Chinese architecture in Macau. Built in 1592, it has long been a place of worship for Chinese merchants and travellers, who prayed here before setting sail. With its intricate carvings, glazed tiles and colorful frescoes, it reflects traditional Chinese art in all its splendor. A museum is located in the inner courtyard. The museum focuses on old Macau in the days of the Opium War, with collections of artifacts and archival photos.
