SÃO DOMINGOS CHURCH
This building, erected by Dominicans in the century, is one of Macao's many Baroque churches
Closing off the Largo do Senado, São Domingos, built by Dominicans in the 17th century, is one of Macao's many Baroque churches. Heavy, solid-wood doors open onto a pastel, sober interior, magnificently preserved. In addition to the Virgin Mary and Child, the church also houses a statue of Fátima. The church is the starting point for the annual Fátima procession on May 13. The São Domingos square is the starting point for a number of little streets where you can buy local specialities.
