CASA GARDEN
Built in 1770, this house served as a summer residence for the Portuguese aristocracy
Built in 1770 to the west of the city, this house is one of Macau's most beautiful villas. It served as a summer residence for the Portuguese aristocracy and was the former home of the East India Company, before being converted into a museum in 1960. The entrance is to the left of the modern São Antonio church, next to the Luis de Camoes Garden. The extensive collection of Chinese art includes a large number of terracottas from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, as well as cloisonné and paintings from old Macau.
