SUN YAT SEN'S HOUSE
House containing personal belongings of the great revolutionary and founder of the First Republic of China
This superb Moorish-style house was the residence of Sun Yat-Sen's first wife and their children. It was rebuilt by his family in 1918 to replace the original house, destroyed by an explosion when it was used as an explosives warehouse. It contains furniture, objects and photos that belonged to the great revolutionary and founder of the first Republic of China in 1911. Sun Yat-sen, who had studied medicine in the West, practiced in Macau for several years before the fall of the Chinese Empire.
