Majestic white marble statue dedicated to A-Ma, the sea goddess so dear to sailors.

Perched atop the Alto de Coloane hill, the statue of the goddess A-Ma is a spiritual and cultural icon of Macau. Standing 19.99 metres high (got the reference?), it symbolizes the year of Macau's retrocession to China in 1999. A majestic white marble statue, sculpted by a local artist and dedicated to A-Ma, the sea goddess so dear to sailors, also known as Tin Hau. Nearby is a cultural village (with a temple, also in white marble), as well as numerous footpaths.
