RED MARKET
The "red" market, with its three floors of stalls, is Macau's liveliest
The "red" market (after the red bricks used to build it) is Macau's liveliest. Three floors of stalls offer meat, live fish, fruit and vegetables from farms on the other side of the Chinese border. The surrounding streets (do Padre João Clímaco, do Vebanho...) also reveal their share of colorful surprises, with dozens of stalls offering food, clothing, Chinese handicrafts... It has been renovated very recently. Worth a visit for those who want to discover the authentic face of Macau.
