The museum, the largest in the city, extends over five floors and boasts numerous galleries. Interesting and very well laid out, this museum offers superb exhibitions of contemporary and classical art (Ming dynasty calligraphy, Shiwan ceramics, etc.). Works by local and Chinese artists are often favored. On the fourth floor is the gallery where you can admire magnificent Chinese calligraphy. Temporary exhibitions are held on the second and third floors. The museum has an attractive bookshop and store.
