Newly-built theme park with hotels, swimming pool, restaurants and souvenir stores
Arriving by ferry at the Harbour Outer terminal, one is astonished by this immense complex: are we arriving in Macau or Venice? Inaugurated in 2006, this theme park is famous for its replicas of European buildings, such as a Roman Colosseum, streets reproduced in the style of Amsterdam or the Italian Riviera, offering an immersive experience. The site also houses a casino, restaurants and several hotels. The whole complex stands on the site of a former fishing port, on land reclaimed from the sea, and gives a sad impression of a pasteboard set.
