The avenue goes beyond the little square of the church to go along the narrow sea arm separating Coloane from China. It becomes Rua dos Navegantes. On the left, the temple of Sam Seng (or Kam Fa Isse) is close to a few shops, where you can dry up cod on sunny days. Going west, Avenida's Avenida de Outubro leads to Tam Kung Temple. This temple, dedicated to the fishermen's boss Tam Kung, contains a dragon boat and a crew of sailors carved into a whale bone. In front of it is the Dai Wan Kum Chinese Island, separated by a narrow sea arm.
