Colonial residence located a few steps from downtown, with very spacious and clean rooms with king size beds

This colonial residence has 25 very spacious and clean rooms with king size beds. It is located in a beautiful building dating from 1904 and is run by Vincent, a Frenchman who knows San José and Costa Rica like the back of his hand. It's a very good place to stay when you arrive in Costa Rica, close to the city center (possibility of airport transfer). You will be welcomed by a friendly, professional and French-speaking team, who will help you and advise you on the activities to do in the area or in the country (possible tours).

Vraiment super auberge avec de belles chambres. J'ai particulièrement aimé la petite cour confortable pour travailler, et tout est accessible à pied.

C'est vraiment cher pour ce que c'est, les chambres sont petites, la literie un peu fatiguée, c'est humide , rien ne séchera ici, le petit déjeuner est basique et en petite quantité, et cerise sur le gâteau la ligne de chemin de fer tout juste à côté et ça roule, la maison en tremble et les sifflements du train sont continuels, le trafic routier est dense et on l'entend bien ici, oreilles sensibles s'abstenir. On est resté qu'une nuit et on a été voir ailleurs (moins cher et plus calme et plus spacieux avec un petit déjeuner digne de ce nom).

Un peu déçue dans l'ensemble. Les chambres sont peu confortables et pas du tout décorées. La salle de bains minuscule sentait très fort. Le wifi n'arrêtait pas de sauter. Le petit-déjeuner dépanne mais n'a vraiment aucun goût. Mais le pire reste le train qui passe à quelques mètres de l'hôtel et siffle, de 5H du matin à minuit... Juste OK pour une étape à l'arrivée ou au départ.

Nice $19 services to $49... arriving to Costa Rica, better to choose a hotel in San José including base of its tours and blow between two expeditions (2 maritime coasts, many national parks and significant distances by bus). This hotel is perfect, double beds, very clean, good advice... It is close to the city center, and sodas (small popular restaurants) and lunch are numerous in city center... One left free half of our luggage to travel lighter... 4.5 days for a destination... Punta Uva precise on the Caribbean coast, for example, then Corcovado, south Pacific coast, then Guanacaste (northern pacific coast), Monteverde... Arenal... Super advice of the people of the Towers and tips and addresses of the website of the www.costa-rica-guesthouse.com hotel...

not bad nothing more; during my stay, the room was not or changed towel. for breakfast, either to perform some or to cross the street to get to Costa Rica backpackers; the area is quite noisy and alarm clock at 5:30 at the latest and evening concert squinches. mitigated welcome: a receptionist charming Nicaragua but a simple and not very attractive young girl. very large room but with a glaucous lighting very difficult to read a long time. I disappointed I expected better for the price. the photo on the website matches only one room overlooking the street and even noisier than that I had. however, each room has a name, which is nice. the hotel is well located and you can do everything on foot and parquet floors in the room has charm as well as the large tiled corridor. Wi-fi is practical. to stay opposite with backpackers costs less and offers more services!
I was disappointed as Petit Futé had listed this hotel in the Comfort category and charm .....
