Aranjuez in San José, with simple and cosy rooms, all different from each other and harmoniously arranged

Five houses built in the 1930s have been arranged together to offer cozy rooms. Well located, between Barrio Escalante and Barrio Amón, about 15 minutes walk from the Plaza de la Cultura. For breakfast, a green garden welcomes you to taste delicious home-made pastries! By far the best establishment in its category. This hotel has a strong policy of environmental preservation: solar panels for water and electricity, own compost and recycling system.

Come for the great price, stay for the amazing breakfast! They have a great little garden yard that attracts so many beautiful birds. Davide was such a a gracious host and made navigating the city very easy. Can't wait to stay here again.

Nous avons passé une nuit en janvier 2024 dans cet hôtel. Après 20 heures de voyage, nous avons trouvé une chambre très vieillotte (limite vétuste) : une salle de bain sans eau chaude, une chambre pas insonorisée du tout donnant sur le patio où tout le monde passe. Le personnel n'est pas vraiment sympa, l'endroit est très typique et le petit déjeuner servi dans le patio terrasse rattrapent légèrement le reste !

Hôtel très agréable et authentique. A notre arrivée nous avons ete plongés directement dans les traditions locales avec une décoration faites de masques et autres statues très colorées. Ne vous attendez pas a un hotel ou tout brille mais attendez vous plutôt a vous sentir immergé dans la vie du Costa Rica. C est exactement ce que nous recherchions : de l authenticité. Cet hotel est plein de charme et le petit déjeuner dans le jardin est juste parfait. Le personnel très agréable. Si je devait revenir a San Jose je ferais sans aucun doute escale dans cet hotel.
